Greetings from God's Own Country, Kerala
It gives us great pleasure to formally announce the 17th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Neurology, IANCON 2009, to be held at Cochin, on the 11th, 12th and 13th of September 2009, with a Pre conference workshop on the 10th. This is the first time that this conference is being held in Kerala, and it would be our privilege to welcome you.

Cochin is the Queen of the Arabian Sea, a tourists paradise. The city has a rich history, with something of all the cultures that have influenced the country – Arab, Chinese, Continental and British – but remains uniquely Indian in its own charming way. It is the commercial capital of Kerala, voted by the National Geographic Magazine as one of the 50 must-see places in the world. It is in the heart of an evergreen state, with swaying palms and serene backwaters, tropical beaches and misty hill stations, offering something for every tourist adventure. Also, September will be just after the monsoons, and you will see the countryside in all its lush green beauty.

In this relaxing ambience, we plan to have an academic feast, with an emphasis on clinical approaches to subjects of interest to the post-graduate student, the practising neurologist and the academically inclined. There will be breakfast sessions, panel discussions, seminars and orations by authorities of international repute.

The venue of IANCON 2009 is the Le-Meridien Resort & Convention Centre, the finest conference complex in South India.

You will be the honoured guests of KAN, the Kerala Association of Neurologists, representing the entire neurological fraternity of the state.

We eagerly look forward to having you with your family in our midst in September 2009. It will be a real opportunity to meet up with friends, renew old acquaintances and get updated on the subject from an eminent national and international faculty.

Welcome to Cochin & Kerala for IANCON 2009, The Conference With a Difference.
